The Inscription at the base of the Hunger Fork: The three prongs of the Hunger Fork and a very blue sky. The prongs represent the three air routes by which supplies were flown into the city. This visit took in Lübben, which has some beautiful woodland and streams, and Cottbus, on the edge of the Spreewald and in the Sorbian language area. Soviet war memorial in Lübben, on the way from the station to the town centre. The woodland around Lübben, which has lots of quiet paths, and streams where you can take boat trips. These red and black bugs were everywhere in Lübben. I have also seen them in Berlin, Prague and pelnty of other places round the middle of Europe. A memorial in the middle of the forest.
